- Unscrew top nut and take it off.
- Take the top part of the mill off.
- Fill with either pepper or salt, depending on which mill you have.
- Put the top back on.
- Screw on the top nut while pushing up on the bottom of the mechanism until flush.
- Adjust to your desired grind. Clockwise for fine grinds counterclockwise for coarser grinds.
